The practice is an independent Veterinary Practice. We have two full time veterinary surgeons, three full time qualified and registered veterinary nurses and a full time receptionist/administrator. There is little staff turnover so that you get to regularly meet experienced professionals that you can expect to see the next time you visit, not young, changing, in-experienced staff.
Ambleside Veterinary Clinic is a registered training practice and has been continually training Veterinary Nurses for over 12 years. In our role as a training practice for Veterinary Nurses when there are junior staff around we aim to ensure that support is available from our more experienced staff.
We have in-house laboratory facilities for quick turn-around of laboratory information which can be very important in critically ill patients.
In our imaging room, we have digital x-ray, we regularly use ultrasound, Doppler-ultrasound and endoscopy.
A separate prep area and main operating theatre completes the clinical area of the practice.
We take a strong ethical stance offering the lowest possible prices to our clients.
We also run a PDSA scheme for eligible clients and regularly work alongside other animal welfare charities - please call for further information. Please note the animal must be well to get on to this scheme, acceptance is dependant on passing a full health check by one of our veterinary surgeons.
